Hi Mr Floppy! (if I can call you that :-)

Yes it's going well - Ihaven't done an update on the web page for a long time - but will do a major soon -- the present status is that I'm working like a slave synching all the footage - we shot about 7.5 hours and about two thirds of that is synched now -- I've done a rough cut of about 40mins, but won't do the rest until I've finished synching. There's been a few little reshoots and pick up shots we've been doing as well, but they won't be developed or telecined for a month or so yet. There's been a few minor problems to look at (jittery images in some rolls, and a flat battery on the crystal synch unit for some rolls too - we can fix these things, but I don't think they'll be perfect - but tolerable) --- the rough time frameis to have a rough cut done (excepting the reshoot material) by the end of April - and the finished thing by December. I've had one preliminary approach about premiering it in a cinema (I guess off a DVD - not an optical blow up) -- but that isn't definate yet so I don't want to say too much about it - but it should go ahead. I'll put more details on the web page soon - sorry I'm not more informative right now, but I only get a few hours each day when I can work on it and I'm spending most of my time jsut on that --- quite enjoying editing too :-)

Thanks for the interest - hopefully by the end of the year you can all see it -- I might post a scene on the web in the next week too

Please, Scott, contact me privately at my email [email protected].

I'm a working visual effects artist and cinematographer, and would like to help you.

I'm very interested in punching the super8 to a viable production format as an alternative to 720p. I've developed some tricks, plugins and methods to polish super8 footage to its maximum, and would like to try with well -lit footage from a beaulieu camera. I have some procedural software that could fix some of the problems you have pointed out, such as jittering image and out of focus (with reserves).

I am developing a series of procedures to manipulate super8 originated material to get a 35mm like picture from well lit super8 footage, in order to provide a complete postproduction system for super8, since filmscanning (2k)to final output to 35mm.

I could also design and master the DVD for the movie if interested, since I'm also a web designer and graphic artist.
